coolingfansHigh end motherboards come with temperature sensors that is set to a specific temperature that warns the user that the processor is overheating, even shutting down the system to prevent heat damage to the processor. The system uses smart fan technology that varies the speed of the fans according to the cooling needs of the computer but in tropical climates, an overclocked system may prove to be too hot to handle so addition of additional fans may be needed to prevent such instances.
Additional cooling fans for the casing can be bought and easily installed through the pre-drilled holes in the casing which is done for such a need. There are some mounts in the front, some on the back and even some on the sides but you may have to consider powering these fans for they can consume so much power that can influence the supply to your computer’s other parts. If you know your electronics, then using an external power source (store bought power adaptor than can provide sufficient power to all your fans) along with an external switch that would allow you to activate them when needed.
